Follow Colby Walking Trails Progress!

Developing the Colby Walking Trails system has been an adventure in its own right. From mapping the trail to picking signs, from planting trees to pouring concrete - the community, led by the Active Community Design Committee, has put together a feature for the city to embrace and enjoy. Follow our progress below!

  • April 21, 2011 - Walking trail moving closer to reality

  • April 28, 2011 - Walking trail gets $25,000 donation 

  • ​May 23, 2011 - Walking trail gets $31,000 in donations

  • December 22, 2011 - College leadership expresses support for walking trail 

  • January 9, 2012 - Grant to boost walk plan 

  • March 7, 2012 - First phases of trails set for summer 

  • December 24, 2012 - City will apply for trail money

  • July 1st, 2013 - Coalition gets grant

  • July 5th, 2013 - Name chosen for newest park

  • May 14th, 2014 - Grand Opening of Colby Walking Trail
